Designer and silversmith Kaminer Haislip is going to lead two Jewelry-Making Workshops at the Nathaniel Russell House Museum for Historic Charleston Foundation. The first is Saturday, January 25 at 1pm and the second is Saturday, February 15 at 1pm. During each workshop, students will learn how to set porcelain shards in silver to create a one-of-a-kind pendant to take home. Students may bring their own piece of pottery or pick from a variety of antique blue willow shards provided by the instructor.
Classes are limited to eight students. All materials and tools are provided, and no experience is necessary. The class will take place on the third floor of the historic Nathaniel Russell House Museum and will also include a closer look at porcelain shards excavated during archaeological digs on site. Each class is $250 per student. To register, please contact Lauren Northup at email@example.com.
The Nathaniel Russell House Museum is located at 51 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
